Join us as we step back into the raucous swing dancing era of the 1930’s.

If you’ve never tried swing dance before this is the perfect opportunity to dip your toe with a fun beginners class to start the night.

The class will be followed by an evening of socialising and social dancing with Dublin’s famously friendly swing dance community . The live hot jazz for your listening and dancing pleasure will be provided by the best swing bands in Ireland.

There is a full bar and ample seating to rest your tired limbs with a picturesque balcony overlooking the cricket pitch to cool down and catch your breath.

PARTNER: None required as we will be rotating partners regularly.

DANCE EXPERIENCE: None required.

PRICE:

Tickets are €20 online or €22 at the door (if we don't sell out in advance).

REFUNDS: If you can't make it and you let us know at least 24 hours before the event starts we will issue a refund. The €2 booking fee is non-refundable.

TRAVEL:

There is plenty of parking at Leinster Cricket Club for attendees. Rathmines has excellent bus links to the city centre and if you want to stretch your legs it's about a half an hour walk.

WHAT TO BRING:

•  Water bottle & spare t-shirt. It can get warm if you're dancing a lot.

•  Comfortable footwear.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SOCIAL:

•  Ask anyone and everyone to dance. All experience levels very welcome. It's exciting to get  to dance with different people each night. If someone is tired or chatting with a long lost friend they might say "no thanks" but most of the time if you ask the answer will be an enthusiastic "yes please".

WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING:

•  Failte Swing @ Dublin Studio EVERY MONDAY with open level drop in solo jazz class 7:00-7:50pm, beginner drop in lindy hop class 7:50-8:40pm, fun and friendly FREE social dance 8:40-9:30pm.

•  Failte Hot Club @ Leinster Cricket Club MONTHLY. Dates for 2025 coming soon.
